Truck Specialized Parking Services, Inc. (TSPS) is pleased to announce the award of a contract from the state of Colorado to provide real-time parking availability information to truckers traveling through the state. The contract will cover public rest areas as well as selected private truck stops, creating the largest network of connected parking facilities in the United States. The contract includes options for TSPS to eventually provide a reservation service as well as improvement to the current chaining activities in the higher elevations through the delivery of better parking availability information.
TSPS will provide this real-time parking information to variable message highway signs on I-70 and I-25 and through mobile apps, in-cab systems, and websites. The first installations will be operational in the second quarter 2017 and will expand over several phases of implementation during the next three years. The total value of the contract is projected at $10M.
